A real case

State Farm offered $3,342. After our report, $6,589.

The owner sent State Farm our report. Two days later the offer nearly doubled. No offer is too small to check.

Why it works

There's more to your car's value than their report shows.

Insurance companies price totaled cars with valuation software. We built our own to check theirs. It reads their report, compares it with the real market for a car like yours, and adds up what was left out.

You shouldn't have to become the expert. Owners who push back on their own often send book values or listings they found, then hear that those don't count. Our software does the work in minutes, while the rental clock is still running, and the report is written for an adjuster to read.

How it works

A minute to check. Your call after that.

  1. 1

    Tell us about your offer

A few taps, then add the valuation report your insurance company sent. Don't have it? We show you how to ask for it.

  2. 2

    See if there's more

In a minute or two you see their number next to what the market supports. Free.

  3. 3

    Send your adjuster the report

If there's more, the full review puts it in writing for one flat fee. You send it yourself.

A free check before a total loss appraisal

Many auto policies include an appraisal clause. It lets you and the insurance company each hire an appraiser when you disagree on the amount, and you pay for yours. Reclaim is not an appraiser and does not run that process.

The free check comes first. It uses the valuation report the insurance company already gave you, and it costs nothing to learn whether there is a gap worth going after. If the offer is fair, you are done. If it is low, the full review puts our independent value in writing, and you decide what to do with it.

Questions

Who is this for?

Anyone whose car was totaled and who has an offer from an insurance company, their own or the other driver's. Still waiting on the offer? Start now and we'll remind you when it comes.

Is this a total loss appraisal?

No. Many auto policies have an appraisal clause, where you and the insurance company each hire an appraiser to settle a disagreement over the amount. Reclaim is not an appraiser. The free check comes first: it shows whether the gap is big enough to be worth going further.

Do I have to take the first offer?

No. The first offer is the insurance company's number, taken from their own valuation report. You can ask them to look at it again, and an offer can change when you show where the report falls short. If you already deposited the check, tell us, because your options may be narrower.

Can't I just do this myself?

You can, and some owners do. It can take a few hours or a few weeks, and the details decide it: which cars count as a fair match, what proof an adjuster accepts, and how it is laid out. Book values and listings you found yourself are often set aside. Our software does that work in minutes. Run the free check first and you'll know whether there is anything worth pushing for.

Is the free check just a sales pitch?

No. When an offer is fair, the check says so and there is nothing to buy. We only offer the full review when the check finds enough to be worth the fee. And if you use your report and the offer goes up by less than the fee you paid, we refund the fee.

What do I need?

The valuation report your insurance company used, usually from CCC or Mitchell. It's a PDF several pages long, not the offer letter. If you don't have it, we give you a message to send your adjuster.

What does it cost?

The check is free. If it finds enough to be worth it, the full review is $399: one flat fee, the same for every car, shown before you pay.

What if my offer is fair?

We tell you. You're done, and there is nothing to pay.

What is the guarantee?

Your report pays for itself, or we refund it. If you use your Reclaim report and your insurer's offer goes up by less than the report fee you paid, we refund the full report fee. Ask within 30 days of getting your report. Send us your insurer's final offer and your signed release (or other written confirmation that you're done with the claim) as proof.

Do you talk to my insurance company?

No. You send the report yourself, under your own name. Reclaim is not a law firm, a public adjuster or an appraiser, and the report is not legal advice.

The other driver's insurance is paying. Does this still work?

Yes. The check and the report work the same way. We value the car. We don't weigh in on fault, and we don't tell you whether to take an offer.

How long does it take?

The check takes a minute or two once you add the report. Most full reviews are emailed within 24 hours of payment.
